Lyrics to Man Made Gawdly World

Gawdly? My co-composer of this song thinks this is better...
ok... as requested I will now show you the full lyrics to this song...

If love is all that I need, why did you forsake me?
If faith is the proof of all things unseen, then why did you see nothing in me?
It's a man-made gawdly world, that we are in
Searchin' my heart, is the game they wanna be in
Knowin' what's right or wrong won't set you free
'Coz in this game that they're playin', even God can't claim it's His

Hey... ... What the hell are you doin'?
Hey... ... What the hell are you thinkin'?
Were you the one who set me free?
Were you the one who washed away my sins?
Were you the one? Were you the one?
Don't try to be one...

It's a man-made gawdly world...

Rocker, Musician or Conductor???

For a period of time, I kind of struggled with something call "identity" 'coz people around me, rather ppl workin with me, question my ability, my direction bla bla bla. It's time for me to say something after 5 long silent years... What am I? I AM SOMEONE WHO LOVES MUSIC TOO MUCH TO STUDY JUST ONE FORM OF IT. Rock is my religion... To me it's more than just music... Jesus Christ is my Saviour(no doubt about it)... Being a conductor allows me to get 100% carried away by music during a performace(i enjoy every single moment of that indulgence)... That feeling is still the motivation for me to do my best in managing a band... connecting with the players... No rules , No limit in terms of score analysis was my only rule... My objective everytime I receive a set of music scores? To feel the composer's feeling, understand the message hidden in it... That's my belief...To all the "conductors" out there, you can always disagree with me (and i know you will) 'coz it doesn't really matter isn't it?

Being a rocker... YES! I play rock riffs, solo better than most guitarists around me... but that DOESN'T make me a ROCKER! At this point of time, I will like to honor a buddy of mine whose name is Caesar... You wanna talk about being a ROCKER? Don't say it until you've met him... He's no Rock guitar player or anything of that sort... but he truly is living a Rock N' Roll life... And ALL THE DRINK CLUB MEMBERS SAY.... YES! By the way, if there are any "higher class" musicians out there who think that those rockers worth nothing in a music conservatory just b'coz of who they are and what they do in the "commercialised" music industry ... Go think about this....Weren't Beethoven, Mozart and Bach the music producers of their time? If Compact Disc and Pro Tools were already invented then... would they do the same as what the "higher" class musicians of today are doing? They wrote music for operas and musical during that era...that to me is obviously a movie OST at that time...HALOOOO???!!!

To those who embrace all forms of music, i SALUTE you...To those who stay TRUE to one form...I RESPECT you... To those who love music, whether or not you are a musician, I LOVE you....But to those who believe that the music you think you know is far more superior or artistic than the rest ,so much so that you can create your own social discrimination here... F@*K YOU!

Setting up your guitars

Alright, topic for the day... lots of friends and guitar players asked me:Is it important to set up your guitar? Answer.... of course. It isn't surprised if you,as a guitarist, don't know about this 'coz i realized it only 1 year ago. In the past, i compensate the tuning at the higher frets by bending the strings as and when needed.(even on stage...now that's high level of self confidence haha). I thought that was the best way to do it...(really) but of course, i was wrong. Then things went wrong when i started to record my songs 2 years ago... What happened? Even the simplest power chords can go slightly out-of-tune when you slide your way up.(eg. while playing those Mark Tremonti kind of riffs). Though i did not really use many of that kind of riffs in my songs... those riffs were somehow my standard ways of doing sound check in my small studio.

After setting up my studio guitars, things got alot easier and better... lots of ideas came to my mind while jammin' for new progressions and riffs... i guess it's because when your guitars are in tune, the "noise" you produce will just be so sweet...so don't wait, get your guitars setup and get ready to rock the way it should be...literally. And if you would like to, feel free to approach me for help... till then, KEEP PRESSING IN FOR THE BREAKTHROUGH!

First few days of school in SIM

I have to say it's pretty good and exciting... Especially when you are studying part-time while holding a full-time job... Ideas tend to be more relevant, logical and you'll be surprised how well you can generate ideas in a creative environment. Not too bad so far, made a couple of friends from different walks of life... im gettin sleepy here...... still got to do some revisions on Accounting....sigh.... balanced shit (sheet) will keep your ass safe and clean....

EP released in Dec 08

Alrighty, my first EP(Calm Down) is out... after 3 long years. I picked 7 songs out of 13 songs i wrote to be included in this project. It was a long and tough journey for me, considering that I had to record, produce and sing ALL BY MYSELF(but that's the whole point, isn't it?). Basically, my songs were all base on the happenings in my life for the past 8 years. Be it disappointment, happier times, friendships and frustrations... I always feel complete when I write songs about them, coz im not good with words or talking(unless i had to do a presentation in school or at work) so naturally a sentence with a melody, will often make more sense if they really mean alot to me. By the way, a big Thank You to Caesar, Simon Ng for inspiring me during this time in one way or another. You can also check out my songs at myspace.com/worldrecordsinternational
